I was always pretty shy growing up and even now I still consider myself shy, although in business situations, I'm usually much more forward. Even so, I still get that nervous feeling the first time I need to cold call someone or meet someone in person for the first time.

I'm a naturally introverted person, so it was with eagerness that I read How to Start and Make a Conversation, How to Talk to Anyone in 30 Seconds or Less. Many of the tips and techniques about conversation in this 288-page book are probably already understood by many readers, including me.

I was a bit disappointed with this book. Let's just say the title itself is misleading.
